As the year comes to a close…
Disclaimer: This DevLog is intended to help anyone, who is in a similar situation we are in at the moment. Everyone has to make their own decisions. This merely is our own honest view and opinion, based on our experience. We would love to hear from you, what you think about it all. We wish you all the success and fun you deserve with the development and release of your game! eXplore Studio
As the year comes to a close, we take time to count our blessings and reflect on all that we have accomplished over the last twelve months and we encourage you to do the same, focusing time and energy on the successes first. Indeed, it is necessary to recognise and acknowledge the positive results as not only they will boost your mood and motivation, but they will also make you realise that you have been more successful than you probably remember. Maybe, you gained more followers on social media, or you completed some critical parts of your game. Moreover, you might have learned new skills, met amazing people, took part in a gaming convention, or finally decided on what the main characters in your game would look like. Of course, success might look different for you, but the journey to get there and the results are crucial and must definitely be appreciated and celebrated!
As the year comes to a close, we also reflect on the more difficult and challenging times we have experienced, and we need to value and use them to learn and grow. Mistakes and errors are meant to be made, and they aren't always a bad thing! Indeed, we might look back on them and realise that they served as a stepping stone to valuable life lessons. Bill Gates even commented, "It's fine to celebrate success, but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure." Mistakes are a part of the human experience and are meant to teach us humility, grace, acceptance, and patience. Therefore, we need to embrace our mistakes and any burdensome circumstances so we can come back from them wiser and stronger than before.
As the year comes to a close, we want to express our gratitude and thank you all for supporting the Kaiyo Mission in one way or another. For some of you, it might entail reading our weekly DevLogs; for others, it might be playing the demo or following The Kaiyo Mission on social media and adding the game to your wishlist. Everything you do is truly appreciated and we are proud to have you in this community we are building.
As the year comes to a close, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, or simply a Happy end of December depending on how you decide to celebrate or not… We will be back on Sunday 7th January 2024 with a new DevLog. In the meantime, please do take care, you are precious.
